Therapeutic Approach

We understand that each child, despite any diagnosis, is their own unique individual, and as such there is no “one size fits all” approach to therapy. We are all made up of a body, mind, and soul. All three of these components work in equal partnership, supporting one another, with no one-part being greater or less than the other.  We use a wholistic approach that examines these core aspects that make up WHO your child already is, and works WITH those aspects to strengthen the person they will become.  Below are just a few of the areas that our practice evaluates/gathers information on when creating a therapy plan:

  • Speech/Sound Production (how they SAY their words)
  • Language/Cognitive Processing (their ability to express/comprehend words)
  • Feeding/Oral Moral Skills
  • Nutrition
  • Emotional & Behavioral
  • Sensory Integration (their response to what they see, hear, feel/touch, taste, smell)
  • Fine Motor Skills
  • Gross Motor Skills
  • Spiritual Being
  • Caregiver Support
